Suggestions Please!

Ok, so I need some suggestions. I am passionate about some things, but there are a few things in my life I'm just not satisfied with. Please let me know if you have some hidden secrets, some great finds, or know of something that works...

1. A product or routine to give my hair more volume (I like it big!)
2. A good antiperspirant/ deodorant (same problem since 8th grade!)
3. The best laundry detergent
4. A good all around house cleaning product
5. The perfect diaper bag
6. A good hair dresser in California (is 3 inch re-growth in style?)

I can't wait to hear!

I really liked Purex liquid detergent for a long time before I finally got tired of the smell. It was yummy at first though. :) I'm having the same problem as you on the hairdresser. If you find a good one, let me know! I'll make the drive for someone who is good! Oh, and as far as a cleaning product? Dim the lights!!! Ha ha

You and I have opposite problems---since having my kids, my hair is so big and frizzy, I'm always trying to tone it down.
Suave is my favorite antiperspirant. You do laundry?:) I like Simple Green in theory, but I really use the Kirkland Signature Wipes for EVERYTHING. If you find the perfect bag, let me know.
And finally, I must recommend Nicole Erickson as a fantastic hairdresser. She never disappoints---color, cut, it is all great.
Cute blog, by the way. Where did you get the family pics taken?

Hair products: I use root boost and thickening cream and then I blow dry in small segments with a metal round brush..the key is heat and then cool it to set it. I really think the trick is also my Biolage Thermal Setting Spray, I can't do a blow dry w/o it. Like you, I like big hair so back comb it like your in a 80's hair band. Deodorant: Dove is the only one I have found to work for me. I love Tide, but for stains I use Oxy Clean, I feel like a commercial everytime I use it people do say my whites are white and I do use BIZ for those. The trick for me is to put the Oxy clean powder on and then put tide liquid on top let it sit overnight and I have to say I have never not been able to get a stain out!!! House Cleaning: I use Soft Scrub/comet/and 409, I like to mop with some pine sol because I like the clean smell. Diaper bag: I don't know if the perfect one exists. If you find one that you can wipe off and it has a cellphone pocket let me know. Your on your own as far as hair dressers go as you are in CA and on the cheap side (ha ha)I'm your sister so I can say that..considering I think you pay for a cut and color once a year thus the 3 inches!!! Love ya Tarrah

Ok, so I just stole all of your ideas from precious comments, and have little to add, if anything! You've always had beautiful hair! Sorry I'm no use to you! ;)

Hi, Elizabeth! I can't answer #1 because I never do my hair - I don't even own a blow dryer. Deodorant - I always use Secret, the one that smells like baby powder, but I don't know if it's the best. I love Tide laundry detergent because I like the scent. For cleaning the house, I like Clorox or Lysol disinfecting wipes. Diaper bag - we have a Skip Hop camouflage one which I love and Trent doesn't mind carrying around either. And it has lots of pockets. Okay, can't answer #6, again I don't do my hair. By the way, have you ever been to a taping of the Tyra Banks show?

i've had some of the very same problems but i do have to say that i LOVE the Paul Mitchell-Freeze and Shine Super Spray. i know it's really strong, but i find that if i spray it on sparingly (or not :))right after i tease, that it holds amazingly. and if you're really desperate for an anti-perspirant, you should try a product called Certain Dri. youyou apply it only at night and then, in the morning after showering, all you need is a sweet smelling deoderant (i use Secret) and it works like a charm. for my laundry i use tide, but i absolutely HAVE to have the clean breeze scent. it smells divine! i even used to crave the smell during pregnancy, it's that good! as far as diaper bags go, i've heard people rave about the Pottery Barn bag that can work as both a side bag and a back pack. it's very cute and extremely functional. i don't own one, but i know several people that do. sorry about the hairdresser. i'm no help in AZ! :)

Sorry about the hair, but I am just dealing with the fact that my hair is straight and it will never be poofy again. Deodorant I prefer Degree,I think Tarrah or Rachael got me to use that kind. For laundry, I am using Gain at this moment and it works well. For the house I use same products that Tarrah does, but for the floor I use ammonia, simple and inexpensive.
Sorry can't help with the diaper bag or the hairdresser.

Okay, okay, I know I'll regret this, but I need to be honest- I am no help in this area- I wear my hair in a bun with no product, I still sweat like I'm at recess in the 4th grade, I don't do the laundry (Jeff does), I don't use diaper bags and I don't know any California stylists. So my advice is, well...... just keep doing what you're doing cause your hair always looks good, you never smell, your clothes look nice, Sophie always has her things and you can always come back to AZ to have Camie do your hair. I love you!

#1 try root boost by bed head, i really like that stuff. blow dry upside down or blow dry everything forward-split your hair in half in the back and blow it forwards. it will create volume.
#2 i use dove but am looking for another one cause i have the same problem as you....my friend said she switched to arm n hammer ultra max and LOVES it!! it is a yellow tube. i used certain dri but let me warn you, it makes your pits ITCH! i couldnt handle that part cause it dries them out.
#3 i love gain laundry detergent-liquid only. im not a powder kinda girl. and i love the scent island fresh. and of course some downy fabric softener to go with it! works like a charm.
#4 im a fan of the smell of bleach. i think it is a scent of clean and disinfectedness? is that a word? so, i really like clorox cleaner with bleach. i buy the big refill bottle from costco and just refill my bottle. the clorox wipes are great for sterilizing toys!
#5 i am not a showy kinda person at all but i have been looking for a great big bag to fit everything in and i finally found it! scott bought me an early b-day present and got me the Coach diaper bag. it is huge with tons of compartments to put things in and it comes with a diaper changing pad. i absolutely LOVE it!! i really like petunia picklebottom bags too but they were too small! i went to nordstroms and compared sizes and they are pretty small for what i was looking for.
#6 sorry, i am no help there. dont know my way around cali let alone a good hair stylist. go to hollywood and im sure everyone is good but you will pay the price for it! or, just let your hair grow with no blonde! ever wanted to be a brunette? i can get you the color and developer if you want it!

this is a good idea for new things to try. i think i might steal your idea ok?
